This is my first attempt at recreating a lightsaber effect. The original footage was shot using my Canon ZR70MC consumer camcorder. Rotoscoping was done by exporting the footage from Adobe Premiere Pro as a Filmstrip (flm) file and imported into Photoshop. Each frame was hand masked and then exported as a Filmstrip file and imported back into Premiere Pro.
